Privacy Policy
Credible Theories has no accounts and no sign-in. You can read every page without telling us who you are. This page says what is collected when you visit, who collects it, and how to say no.
Draft, last updated 2026-10-02. Not in force until the site launches.
What we collect
- Nothing to read the site. Pages are plain files. The rabbit-hole trail and search run in your own browser and are kept only in that browser tab (session storage). They are never sent to us.
- Contact form. If you write to us, we keep what you type (your name, email address, the page you mean and your message) so we can answer and fix the page. We delete it within 24 months of the last reply.
- Server logs. Our host keeps short-lived technical logs (IP address, browser type, page requested) to keep the site running and stop abuse.
Visitor counts
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It uses cookies and collects your IP address, device and browser details, and the pages you view. Google's own policy explains its use: How Google uses information from sites that use its services. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland it only runs if you agree in the consent message.
Advertising
The site is free because it shows ads. The ads come from Google AdSense, a third-party vendor. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this site and other sites. You can turn off personalised ads at Google Ad Settings, or opt out of many third-party vendors at aboutads.info. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland see a consent message first, from a consent tool certified under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework, and can change their choice at any time with the Privacy choices link at the bottom of every page.
Your choices and rights
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works without them.
- Ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, using the contact page. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, the UK or California), the law gives you these rights; we honour them for everyone.
- We do not sell personal information for money. Showing personalised ads can count as "sharing" under California law; turning off personalised ads as above stops it.
Children
The site is written for adults and is not aimed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has written to us, tell us and we will delete it.
